Soft Looksmaxing vs. Hard Looksmaxing
Soft Looksmaxing involves using noninvasive methods and DIY methods to improve your looks. A few examples:
- Dietary changes
- Bodyfat loss
- Weight Training
- Skincare routines
Hard Looksmaxing involves using invasive (possibly dangerous) methods such as surgery in an attempt to improve one’s appearance. Hard Looksmaxing works, but it comes with risks. A few examples would be:

Why Looksmaxing MUST Become A Priority In Your Life
Because highly attractive people are living lives that you could not even fathom. Ugly, average, and attractive people are existing in completely different realities.
We all experience hardship but on different levels. The ugly person who goes through a lot of adversity might view life through a nihilistic lens and say things like “life is suffering”.
While an attractive person who receives a lot of attention and positive reinforcement might say “life is what you make of it”.
In the modern age, social media sites (like TikTok, Instagram, etc.) allow us to see in real-time how much our looks affect us. Now many would say that social media isn’t real life (which is true to some extent) but it doesn’t change the fact that almost every arena of life is very competitive, and being sexually desirable is a major advantage. Just look at the halo effect.
There are many people who were born attractive, tall, wealthy, and surrounded by a loving families. They traveled to a dozen countries at a young age and saw many cultures before they even graduated high school.
They get accepted to a private college, where they have access to top-tier education and make lifelong connections. They almost never struggle to attract a mate, graduate school with no debt, and easily land that six-figure job that their father had connections to. Their lives are set.
At the same time. Take the average, a man who doesn’t have a ton of money isn’t attractive and doesn’t have women lined up for him. Life looks very bleak. Average men don’t have the connections and are forced to compete in the job market with everyone else.
They are forced to play the Tinder circus roulette like everyone else, where less than 5% of men even succeed. As of right now, 30% of men between the ages of 18 are completely sexless. And those are just the ones who admitted it.
This is the life that waits for the average man. The only solution is to NOT be average anymore. That is the only way out.
You are already behind. There is no point in playing by the rules in this game of life, which is clearly rigged, not in your favor. You NEED to give yourself every advantage possible. This is not a trivial matter, improving your looks (when taken seriously) will begin to level the playing field.
Looksmaxing is the fastest ticket out of the hell of being an average man. Your entire reality will begin to change.

How To Looksmax: What It Takes
There are 3 things that are required to properly looksmax:
The proper mindset
This might sound cringe, but the mindset is everything. You are not going to wake up every day, fix your face and fix your body if you are not mentally prepared. Looksmaxing takes work.
Did you think that your life would just suddenly change without any major effort? Of course not! If you are not disciplined and prepared to work, stop right here.
A decent budget
Mindset is the first step. But mindset alone will not make you better looking. You’ll need some money to invest in various products that will be necessary to looksmax. Furthermore, you will need to make time for Looksmaxing as well, if you have a hectic schedule, you should seriously consider what isn’t necessary and cut things out.
The last requirement for successful Looksmaxing would be patience. Results won’t happen in the first week, it will take at least 6 months to seriously see improvements in your looks. Here’s a great video by channel 1STMAN that talks about this concept.
Step 1: Lose your body fat
The absolute first step to any Looksmaxing plan or routine Is to LOSE body fat. The goal is to lose enough body fat percentage that you will reveal the bones in your face.
There is a saying amongst looksmaxers, “You don’t know what you look like until you get lean”. If you have always been overweight, not fat per se, but enough fat to cover up your facial features, you actually have never truly seen yourself.
“Abs are made in the kitchen” is a common saying in the fitness community. And it very much applies to your face as well. Your face acts in the same way as your abs. Your goal should be to reach and maintain about 10-12% body fat.

Until you get lean, you shouldn’t even consider more drastic Looksmaxing methods such as hard maxing. You might actually have a really good facial structure, but if a layer of fat is covering it, you and everyone else won’t see it.

3 Steps to Lose Weight FAST As Hell
Eat a diet low in carbs and high in nutrients
We choose low carb not to be cool or trendy, but because it is practical and sustainable. There are two benefits to eating a low-carb diet. You won’t hold any water weight, and you will be satiated for longer.
You don’t have to go as restrictive as carnivores but keeping your macros at 70% fat, 25-30% protein, and less than 5% carbs is ideal for aesthetics purposes. Plus, since carbs are more restricted you are limited to choosing lower-carb veggies that have a lot of micro-nutrients such as spinach.
70/25/5 Meal examples:
- Steak, Eggs, Avocado
- Eggs & Turkey Bacon
- Salmon & Spinach
- No bread BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato)
Do LISS cardio
Now that you know what to eat, let’s get some cardio in. LISS stands for (low-Intensity Steady State Cardio). LISS Cardio is a type of cardio that calls for 30-60 minutes in the fat-burning zone with 60% of your maximum heart rate. Examples of LISS cardio would be walking, hiking, jogging, cycling, and indoor or outdoor swimming. Here’s our recommendation:
- Get on a treadmill and set the highest incline possible (usually 15%)
- Set the speed to 2-3 mph
- Walk for 30-60 Minutes per day. Or at least 3-4 days per week.
Doing this will imitate hiking up a mountain. It’s much more sustainable than going for a run every day. You can use this calculator >> HERE, to see how many calories you will burn on the treadmill.
Also, throw in some resistance training. Bodyweight training compliments LISS cardio very well. You can also throw in some barbell training 2-3x per week.
Get a shit ton of sleep
We want our natural testosterone levels to be as high as possible. 8 hours is the recommendation, but 10 hours is even. better. If you are up until 4 am gaming. Cut that out immediately. You are ruining your body’s natural circadian rhythm. And there are huge consequences to not sleeping enough.
A study was done that showed that just 1 week of sleep reduction decreased testosterone levels by 10-15% in healthy young males.
Blue light from your cell phone and ceiling lights will disrupt your body’s internal clock. Human beings lived for thousands of years without bright blue lights at night. It’s not natural. You need to reset your body to get enough sleep. If you’re looking to learn more about improving your sleep, read here.
- Change the light bulbs in your home, apartment, bedroom, etc. to softer lights that can dim. When it gets dark outside, dim the lights.
- Wear blue light glasses before bed. Blue light glasses filter out harmful blue light that disrupts your internal clock.
Combine a low-carb diet, LISS cardio, and quality sleep and you will drop weight ridiculously fast.
Step 2: Fix your skin
Your skin can be a major attractor. Or it can be extremely repulsive. Acne is universally disliked by men and women. Flawless skin is jaw-dropping and extremely attractive. But the skin care industry is ripe with bullshit. There are 3 things to keep in mind to get amazing skin.
Keep a simple morning and night routine
For the fastest results, perform your skin routine first thing in the morning and 1-2 hours before bed. Simplicity is the key here. We don’t need to throw in a million products, just the ones that work extremely well (which we’ll go through below).
Limit things that ruin your skin
There is no point in starting a skincare routine if your bad habits don’t end. Certain things will completely destroy your skin such as:
- Sleep Deprivation
- Fasting (decreases collagen)
- High amounts of sugar, lack of vegetables
- Too much chlorine
You will need consistency and patience. The changes made from a well-planned skincare routine takes time to show results. But slowly you will begin to see major improvements if you don’t stray from the path. You should begin to see results within the first month, but expect 4-6 months of twice-daily skincare to really see major changes.

Step 3: Whiten your teeth to perfection
There is nothing worse than shiny yellow teeth. It is extremely repulsive. Who wants to talk to, let alone kiss someone with a 24/7 gold grill in their mouth?
Luckily, you don’t need to waste money on an expensive dentist to get pearly white teeth.
How To Whiten Your Teeth At Home
What you’ll need:
- Baking soda
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Toothpaste of your choice
How To Do It?
First, rinse and floss your mouth
Then, make a paste out of a teaspoon of baking soda and a small amount of hydrogen peroxide, and then gently brush your teeth as you would with traditional toothpaste.
Brush your teeth once again with regular toothpaste & mouthwash
Repeat this process daily until you achieve the desired shade
Step 4: Make your neck thicker
If there is one thing that can ruin a good-looking man is a scrawny neck. You don’t want to be the guy with a pencil neck that looks like a pushover.
A thick muscular neck is dimorphic and masculine. You can look extremely dominant and muscular just by growing your neck. In terms of aesthetics, the neck is the best bang for the buck that most men don’t put enough focus into.
The neck muscle recovers quickly, so you can train it a bit more than larger muscle groups. High volume with moderate weight is the best strategy for growing your neck.
Use A Neck Harness
If you’ve never seen one a neck harness is a very simple neck training tool, that allows you to easily target the muscles in your neck from every angle. It is a cloth strap that ties around your head and under your chin. It is connected to a chain that can hold various weighted plates.
A neck harness is excellent because it gives you 100% range of motion, and keeps your neck safe compared to movements like neck bridges
Weighted Neck Extensions with A Harness
Perform at least 3 sets of 15 to 20 reps with 30-second rest. Train the front, back, left, and right sides of your neck

- Get a weight bench
- Lay face down with your head off the end of the bench
- Lay a towel on the back of your head, place a weighted plate on top of the towel, and grip the weight plate with both hands
- Hyperextend your neck up and down in a slow controlled motion.
- Pause at the top and slowly lower until your chin touches your chest
- Perform at least 3 sets of 15 to 20 reps with 30-second rest. Train the front, back, left, and right sides of your neck
Step 5: Put on more muscle
A solid physique will compliment your face. It is a non-negotiable part of your looks. You don’t need to become He-Man or Dwayne The Rock Johnson (probably not going to happen). But you do need a fit lean body with a decent amount of muscle in your bones.
To get bigger naturally, we are going to focus on two things:
- Eating clean foods in a caloric surplus
- Training the muscle for hypertrophy
Let’s get into it…
Calculate your caloric needs and plan your meals
Everyone’s heard of bulking, but we want to make sure that we limit fat gain. To calculate caloric needs during a bulk use a simple calorie calculator.
Cool, now you know what your caloric needs are. We need to calculate how much protein, carbs, and fat you need.
- A gram of protein has 4 calories
- A gram of carbs has 4 calories
- A gram of fat has 9 calories
We will go with a balanced diet of 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 20% fat. For protein go for 1g per pound of body weight. Let’s say you need 2,000 calories per day for example:
- 2,000 calories x 40% from protein = 800 calories
- 800 protein calories / 4 calories per gram of protein = 200g of protein
- 2,000 total calories – 800 calories from protein = 1,200 calories remaining
- 2,000 calories x 40% from carbs = 800 calories from carbs
- 800 carb calories / 4 calories per gram of carb = 200 grams of carbs
- 2,000 calories – 800 calories from protein – 800 calories from carbs = 400 calories from fat
- 400 calories / 9 calories per gram of fat = 44g of fat
The macros for this person’s muscle-building phase would be 2,000 calories, 200g of protein, 200g of carbs, and 44g of fat.
These are rough numbers but are a good start. Track your calories using Cronometer or My Fitness pal & weigh yourself every morning. If you are putting on too much fat, drop the calories. If you are staying the same, eat more calories.
After a few months of tracking your macros daily, you should have a true understanding of exactly how much food your body needs.
Train your body for muscle growth
You can choose any training type you like, but high-volume training seems to be extremely effective for muscle building. There are huge amounts of high-volume routines out there, it might seem overwhelming. The best advice is to test, test, test!
Everyone’s body responds differently to certain things, so you won’t exactly have the same results training the same way as someone else. Trying multiple routines and tracking your results is the only way to truly know what works best for you.

Step 6: Get a better jawline
A strong jawline is striking and dominant. It is very difficult to look your best with a weak recessed jawline. A strong sharp jawline is a highly attractive feature in both men and women.
There are generally two strategies for getting a better jawline, naturally or surgically.
Get a better jawline naturally
Method #1: Jawline trainers
Jawline trainers are a tool used to train the masseter muscles in your jawline. They are small rubber pieces that you chew on periodically throughout the day to slowly increase the size of your masseter muscles, thus making your jawline wider. They can be effective if used over a long enough time.
Method #2: Mastic gum chewing gum
Another method involves chewing to grow your masseter muscles. Mastic gum is a resin that originates from trees grown in the Mediterranean. Mastic gum allows you to train your masseter muscle with more resistance.

Method #1: Fillers
If you don’t know what fillers are they are a gel-like substance that is injected beneath the skin. Fillers are used to restoring lost volume, smooth lines on the face, reduce creases, or enhance any facial features.
Fillers can be used on the nose, lips, undereye area, cheekbones, jawline, chin, forehead, etc. Pretty much anywhere on the face. The results you get from fillers are pretty much instant or immediate.
The downside to fillers is they are not permanent and the results greatly depend on the skill level of the doctor you see. One doctor might do a great job but another might not be able to replicate the results.
Fillers also have a risk of allergic reaction, infection, and skin cell death.
Method #2: Custom Implants
Jawline Implants would be the next way to surgically alter your jawline. A professional cosmetic surgeon will get a 3d scan of your skull and design a custom implant to be placed on your mandible. Jawline implants are permanent and the results are fast as well. They can come in Silicone, Medpor, Gore-Tex, or AlloDerm.
The downside is jawline implants are quite expensive. And the results (just like fillers) depend on the skill level of the surgeon you see.
Method #3: Double Jaw Surgery
Corrective jaw surgery is not cosmetic surgery. But extending the jawline forward will improve your appearance. It is a serious medical procedure intended for malocclusion problems such as an overbite.
Double Jaw surgery costs thousands of dollars ($20,000 to $40,000 in the USA), months of time off for recovery, and is extremely painful. Corrective jaw surgery is a permanent solution to a weak jawline.
Jaw surgery can have severe side effects such as numbness, loss of hearing, extreme pain, and extreme drooling. Unless you actually have malocclusion issues, this is the last resort and should be avoided when less extreme alternatives are available.
Step 7: Choose a proper hairstyle
Not every hairstyle works for everyone. A haircut that looks good on you might look goofy on someone else. To choose a hairstyle you need to know what your face shape is.
This is another reason why losing weight was the first step. If you are too overweight your face shape will change, and you will need to choose a different look.
What Is My Face Shape?
Your face length (from top to bottom) and cheekbones are about the same length. But, they are longer than your forehead and jawline width, which are also similar. Your jawline is soft and rounded.
Your face from top to bottom is the longest measurement. Your cheekbones, jawline, and forehead are similar in length.
Your face is longer than the width of your cheekbones and your forehead is longer than your jawline. Your jawline looks rounder from the front.
Everything is similar in length and width, but the jawline is very sharp.
Your jawline is longer than the width of the cheekbones. The cheekbones are wider than the forehead’s width.
The forehead width is longer than the cheekbone and jawline width. The chin is very pointed.
The length of the face from top to bottom is the largest measurement. Descending down in order of width would be the cheekbones, forehead, and jawline. The chin is also pointed.
Step 8: Dress like a damn man
Most men suffer from Peter Pan Syndrome. They are mentally stuck in their adolescent years, and it shows in their clothing choices. Throw out the hoodies, joggers, sweatpants, cartoonish tee shirts, sneakers, beanies, etc.
You need a good-looking face and a good-looking body, but you also need to dress like you give a crap Most men don’t dress as they do, so you will stand out in a good way. Dressing like a man commands respect and power.

Choose fitted clothes
It’s not the year 2000 anymore. Baggy screams outdated and adolescent. Choose pants and tops that are form-fitting (another reason to stay in shape). Show off your hard work in the gym with clothing that fits you snugly.
Keep in mind you want form-fitting, not skinny. Your clothes should still be comfortable.
Choose quality over quantity always
Quality is much more important than quantity. Check the materials that your clothing is made from, before buying. Look at the stitching and construction of the clothing as well.
It’s better to have a handful of timeless pieces vs a closet full of garbage that will fade and fall apart.
Avoid feminine fashion styles
Every man has his own taste. But as a rule of thumb, stick to clothing styles that are more masculine. If you have to question whether a woman would be able to wear the same outfit as you it’s probably best to stay away from it, this includes colors as well. Unless that’s your thing of course (nothing wrong with that at all).
When in doubt choose neutral colors
Black, grey, navy blue, and dark brown should be your go-to colors. Darker colors can make you look more manly instantly. Black makes you look much slimmer. Not to say you can’t wear bold colors, but you can never go wrong with neutral colors.
Neutral colors can be worn at any time of the year, and never go out of style. They are the foundation of any man’s wardrobe.
Keep it simple stupid
Simplicity is everything. Before you start throwing in scarves, gloves, jewelry, etc. Make sure your wardrobe is solid. Unnecessary extras can cloud your look and send the wrong message. Keep it simple stupid.
Your clothing should be timeless
If you woke up 20 years in the past tomorrow and walked out in public. Your clothing shouldn’t stand out. You should stick to styles that are timeless. Button-downs, slacks, and blazers will never go out of style. They are simple and strong pieces.
Avoid trends like the plague
Most trends die as quickly as they rise. Look at things like parachute pants, Janko jeans, and baggy clothes from the 2000s. Only a select few people truly look good in trendy styles, but the masses will hop on to it and imitate them.
Pick an assortment of clothes that can easily be mixed and matched to create new looks but ultimately the same style.
Choose a solid pair of shoes
Shoes are the final piece to your look. And we are not talking about air Jordans. Choose handmade leather materials. Oxfords, boots, and Chelsea boots are great choices that complement your style.
Step 9: Make sure to always smell good
This doesn’t have much to do with looks, but oh man will it turn you into a social pariah if you ignore it. We’re talking about body odor.
Trust that you do NOT want to be the guy who has a reputation for smelling horrible. That is not the man you want to be. A good fragrance is a finishing touch to Looksmaxing.
You want to be the man that has a chiseled face with perfect skin, great hair, a muscular body, impeccable style, and smells incredible. You want to be the guy that people can’t ignore.
Try out different fragrances
There are a lot of different perfumes and colognes out there. Like A LOT. Literally thousands. To make the choices a bit simpler, you can break down fragrances into seasonal categories:
- Autumn aromas – minerally, spicy-sweet, woody, and herbal scents
- Winter aromas – warm & sweet scents
- Spring aromas – fresh, green, floral, clean scents
- Summer aromas – fruity, marine, tropical, and citrus scents
Luckily there are a ton of review sites, our go-to for fragrances is Fragrantica. Choosing a scent is extremely important, smelling like oranges and pineapples during the winter months is not ideal. Smelling like cookies, vanilla, and mint during the summer doesn’t fit well.
You can also combine two scents when we are transitioning from one season to the next.
Always take a shower before applying a fragrance of ANY kind. And go light on the application, you don’t want to smell so good you smell bad. Or give yourself a headache.
Your deodorant should be unscented. Deodorants are for sweat only, fragrances are for aromas. The last thing you need is some cheap $4 deodorant to cover up the expensive cologne you just bought.
Step 10: Max out your sex appeal
Congrats, you’ve made it to the 10th step. Sex appeal.
By now your face, body, clothing, etc should be on point but you need to seal the deal by adding the finishing touches.
Sex appeal oftentimes is a combination of various things we don’t think about but subconsciously notice. They are usually very dimorphic traits that make a man present more masculine
4 Ways To Improve Sex Appeal
Make your voice deeper
Deep voices are respected by men and craved by women. It’s a secondary sexual trait that impacts our sex appeal. A larger larynx and longer and thicker vocal cords mean a much deeper voice.
Typical male voices range in pitch from 85 to 180 Hz. 95hz and lower is the most attractive range for men. There is a science that backs up that deeper voices are more attractive.
Grow a beard stubble
Facial hair is a sexually attractive male trait. You don’t want to go overboard and become a lumberjack. A sharp lean chiseled jawline, covered with a dense layer of beard stubble is the ideal look.
Some studies show that women found men with heavy stubble to be the most attractive (about 10 days of growth). It’s even been said that short beard stubble is the most attractive facial hair style for men.
Widen your shoulders
A wide frame is ideal. Males with high SHR reported having sex at an earlier age, having more sexual partners, and more instances of having sex with someone who was involved in another relationship.
Training your shoulders more at the gym with exercises like lateral raises should widen your frame over time.
Make your hair darker
Hair color is extremely important for sex appeal. Tall dark and handsome is an old saying that has scientific evidence to back it up. A dating website revealed that 145,000 male members who had dark brown hair averaged 10 dates per month while blonde guys only had around three.
